Submission Guidelines
Applicant Eligibility Criteria:
Designer eligible to apply to CDA should be:
At least 18 years of age
An applicant must choose to submit their design under the correct type and accordingly pay the corresponding submission fees as below:
o Under 30 Years at the time of submission (individual): EGP 1000
Proof of age is requested: a scanned copy of the national ID or passport with the date of birth indicated must be submitted to qualify
o Above 30 Years at the time of submission (individual): EGP 2000
o Group / Firm / Company: EGP 3000
All paid submission fees are non-refundable once the submission is confirmed.
Submission Eligibility Criteria
All entries need to be completed online and in English via the CDA website. Applicants will need to submit a PDF file for each submission as per the guidelines indicated for each category/subcategory.
Please review the guidelines for submission in each category/subcategory
Each submission will only include one project (unless under a collection subcategory).
An applicant is allowed and encouraged to make more than one submission; a new submission fee must be paid for each submission. There is no restriction on the number of new separate submissions per applicant.
Applicants are welcome to submit the same design in several categories – if suitable. However, please make a separate submission and payment for each category/subcategory according to its submission guidelines.
CDA jurors and/or personnel move/transfer a submission to a more suitable category / subcategory should this serve the benefit of the project.
All submissions shall be finalized with payment before the announced deadline

Anonymity
Important Note: Applicant's identity must be obscured n all text, drawings and images submitted.
General Submission Format
Only 1 PDF File.
File Name/Title:
Name of the uploaded file and the title provided in the "Title" field should be the same.
Please rename the file as per the guidelines below before uploading it.
Individual Submission:
First two letters of the applicant's Last Name
4 digital from the applicant's date of birth DDMM
Example:
Name: Mark Duke
Date of Birth: 03/01/1982(DD/MM/YYYY)
Therefore, the file name would be : DU0301.
Please make sure to include the file name code on the cover page(inside the space provided in the template).
Team/company Submission:
In the case of applying as a team/ company, applicants will be required to adjust their CDA account according to the below.
1-Use the "First Name" slot to identify the team/group/project's FULL name.
Use the "Last Name" slot as "Team" or " Group" or "Project" or " Company", whichever best describes the group of applicants.
2-Add the same information in the FULL company Name in the "Company" slot, and add the position within the company / team of
the person making the submission.
File Name Format:
First two letters of company Name
4 digital representing the month and year the project was designed MMYYYY
Example:
Team/Company/Name: Future Vision Comapny
Completion date of the design: March 2015 (MM/YYYY)
Therefore the file name would be: FU032015
Please make sure that the group/ company agrees to apply the project to CDA.
Please read the Terms & Conditions, as well as the Terms of Use files available on the CDA website.
Team/Company submissions must be applied as such, and therefore must choose the "Team/Company" subcategory , and therefore require to be played as a
"Team/ Company".
File Requirements:
Total file maximum size 20 MB
A3 Landscape Format(Horizontal)
Image Specification:
Screen Resolution of at least 100 dpi (please keep a 300 dpi version of the project available, in case the project is shortlisted).
A caption must be included for each image.
If there are images used in the submission that have noot been created by the applicant team, the applicants MUST give credit to the original owner/ creator of the image in the caption below it.
Accuracy and Copyrights
Information provided on the official entry form may appear in any publication of CDA’s choice and on the CDA website.
CDA is not responsible for incorrect information provided on entry forms that misrepresent the copyright of original ownership of ideas. CDA assumes that all entries are original and are the works and property of the applicant, with all rights granted therein. CDA is not liable for violations of any third-party rights, including, but not limited to, claims of copyright, trademark, patent infringement, defamation, trade secrets, or trade dress on the part of the entrant.
CDA assumes that all images provided with entries are free of any third-party rights. The entrant may submit images that work for hire for an employer only if the entrant has secured permission for the submitted image(s) to appear in any publication of CDA’s choice and the CDA website.
By submitting your work to CDA you agree to abide by these rules and you warrant and represent that
(i) your entry is your original work,
(ii) you have sufficient rights to the material you are submitting,
(iii) These rights have been legally obtained and created
(iv) Publication of the material via various media will not infringe on any third party rights, including without limitation contractual rights, intellectual property rights, publicity and privacy rights, and rights against libel, defamation, and slander.
By submitting your work to CDA and accepting an Award, you grant CDA the right to edit, publish, promote, and otherwise use your entry either as submitted or in edited form without further permission, notice, or compensation, including but not limited to any publication and the CDA website and on the Internet. CDA reserves the right to forward the entrant’s details to Awards sponsors and partners. CDA reserves the right to change the T&Cs at any time without further notice.

Terms & Conditions
By submitting an entry, the entrant warrants that it is his/her original work and that they and CDA have permission to publish the material.
Obligations: upon submission, the submitters agree to the following in case their submission is shortlisted for CDA:
o The shortlisted winners must agree that CDA has the rights to use the submission in any publication, including its website(s), marketing material, affiliated trade magazines, and press.
o The shortlisted winners may be asked for and must present quality images of the winning project, defined as 300 dpi.
o The shortlisted winner must provide a publication-quality headshot if needed.
o The winning project may be displayed at events and trade shows.
The submitter will retain all rights to their submitted work and you will always be credited. Disqualification
In case of any attempt to directly contact any of the jury members, all submissions made by the applicant are disqualified.
All submissions must be anonymous; any submission that conveys the identity of the submitter will be disqualified.
Submitter confirms that the work submitted is their own and they own all associated rights (unless it is licensed work and they have permission from the licensee to submit it here). We take no responsibility for any intellectual property rights infringement if you submit work copied by other people. Anyone found to have infringed any intellectual property rights will have their work disqualified immediately.
In case of disqualification, the submission fees will not be refunded
